Meet Dr. Josh Stewart

Dr. Josh Stewart is a board-eligible oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to making a profound and positive difference in the lives of his patients.

About Dr. Stewart

Dr. Stewart was inspired to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon because he believes it is a unique specialty that bridges the artistry of dentistry with the mastery of surgery and the nuances of medicine. He is passionate about providing a trusting and comfortable experience for every patient. He achieves this by actively listening to their concerns, understanding their needs, and tailoring his surgical approach to ensure their comfort and safety in a warm and welcoming environment.

His journey in oral surgery has a special connection to our practice. Before applying to dental school, Dr. Stewart worked alongside Dr. Hoverstad as a surgical assistant, an experience that inspired him to pursue the specialty. After years of dedicated education and training, he is humbled and excited to return to Raleigh Oral Surgery, joining a team that shares his core values of compassion, integrity, and a patient-first mindset.

Dr. Stewart began his educational journey at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Communication Studies.
